So many times, people brush off book trailers because they think they are too expensive or pointless. Well, I couldn't name how many times a trailer as convinced me to go buy a book NOW or else I'd surely die. (Although, I actually read this book BEFORE the trailer.) Even Nathan Bransford had a guest post on book trailers the other day that made me wonder...
How important do YOU think book trailers are when advertising?

Jill's husband actually did this for her! Isn't that great?

hahaha brilliant
Hilary, really? This makes me love it even more : )
Oooh the guy on that second cover is hot! I still haven't gotten into the trailer thing but I know lots of writers who love them.
I like book trailers. I love watching them and seeing the story come to life!
OKay, that was HILARIOUS!!!!
It didn't convince me to read the book; it in fact made me wonder why I am planning on reading it, but still, good fun!
As for book trailers, I don't know. I have never once bought a book from one and actually didn't even know they existed until about a month after I started blogging.
I'm sure they're helpful for some, though. . .
Your blog is the first mention of a book trailer, so I'm actually wondering what that's all about now. I can't watch the video at work, so I'll look tonight and let you know what I think.
I like book trailers, but I do wonder how effective they are for sales, although having one certainly couldn't hurt.
I saved Nathan Bransford's guest post on how to make a book trailer for future reference. It looks like fun!
Book trailers are fun so fun! I keep thinking maybe I'll attempt it one day.
